A) Based on my experience as a Broker.............I get most of my cheapest rates from AIG. Lots of our clients are pretty satisfied with them. Forget all the nonsense about your driving record, age, all that stuff. To get cheap and affordable insurance, you need to shop around...just don't jump in and settle for one guy. check with a local brokrage in you neighborhood and let them quote you with different companies...You can also use online resources to shop around for car insurance. GET QUOTES FROM DIFFERENT COMPANIES.............AND MAY THE CHEAPEST QUOTE WIN!

Baotian 50cc QT - 9 16 YEAR OLD INSURANCE question?

Q) Buying the bike of ebay. Finding it very difficult to find cheap insurance it is a Baotian made in 2007 I'm 16 years old no motor convictions e.t.c I really need cheap insurance ? Any body with experience no the best for this scooter? Best answer to cheapest quote? Or general help. Thanks.

A) At your age you won't find cheap insurance. Pay the price or don't ride.

motor scooter?

Q) i was thinking of getting a motor scooter instead of a car. Are motor scooters cheaper?? do you need insurance? Driver license ? if it helps i live in New York but am going to college in Maryland. any info would be extremely helpful how much does the insurance usually go for?

I have a 1974 for f-100 300 6 cylinder, no rado good tires, bad motor?

Q) The truck has a bad motor. It is hard to shift , it had it on the floor where it used to be on the column. no radio nothing. 300 6 cylinder. bad motor. good looking truck and inside looks good. it needs new rubber to keep the doors and windows from ratling. i have 4 rims that come with the 1974 model. I would change the rear end it gets bad gas mileage but will pull a tree down. Should i sell it for 2,250 or spend 5-6 thousand to get it first class. insurance is cheap liability. tag cost me nothing because it had an antique tag. Tags in MS. can run up to $1,200.00 per year. Ususally about $400.00 for a ford mustang about a year old. I am considering getting me a 750-1000 series moror cycle to run errands about Jackson. It cost a lot to live in Jackson MS.

A) Where im from that truck would only bring $500-$750, considering a salvage yard motor will run u an additional $500.Resell value on these trucks is very low to start with, so not worth fixing up unless it has sentimental value. believe me i own 3 customized models of these trucks and i cant give them away.

Buy a £550 Honda Civic!?

Q) I have a black M reg 1995 1.4 elec pack Honda Civic hatchback for sale. It has done about 118000 miles, full service history, mot till January 2008. It will be taxed for 6 months. I have used it most days for work and it has never let me down. Cam belt has been changed. There is no problem i know of with the car; the exhaust has just been serviced and i have put a new tyre on. I havent advertised it yet, just seeing if i get a response here! I am selling because i have a slightly newer car as a result of an unexpected deal from a family member! As a first time buy or cheap motor it would be a great car. low insurance. I am in the High Wycombe area so anyone interested? The driveshaft gaiter( a rubber boot) was replaced a week ago but no problem with joint as i caught it in time.)

A) What ever you do..... DON"T get a cheap frame. Stick with quality so you & others don't die. =^ )

motorcycle for beginner used and cheap?

Q) ok, i am liking the gas mileage on motocycles. i like the crotch rocket look. but i would rather start out with something slow and stable. but with the same bodystyle. i will have about 1000 dollars to spnd, i wanna get something some one has probly dropped a few times, but it still runs ok, you know? i dont need anything pretty. cause i will probbly drop it never rode a bike b4. but i like the simplicity of the motor and the gas mileage. i dont want a moped... doesanyone have any idea what insurance will do? i will have liability. will it go up or down? anyone know? im a car guru, but motorcycles to me are something new

A) I suggest a kawasaki ninja 250R or the ex500. You can find used bikes for under $2000. People are always looking for these bikes so you can sell it down the road for probably close to what you paid for it (when it's time to upgrade). I would be very leary of bikes that were "dropped a few times". You can find a used ninja 250 that's never been dropped. Insurance for bikes (full coverage) is generally very expensive especially if you have don't have a M1 license. After a few years as a "licensed" rider the rates will go down. You are already coming to realization that you'll drop your bike soon after you get it. The insurance companies knows you'll do the same. When I got my first bike "fully insured" it was close to $4000 a year. Of course I was 18 at the time and had a fresh motorcycle license. Liability on the other hand is very cheap. You can probably find insurance for a few hundred bucks a year or less. The reason is simple; who is going to win if you get into fender bender with a car or truck? You guessed it.. you lose... Be safe, take a CC rider course in your are (800 cc rider). Don't practice on the streets!

FLA car accident insurance trouble?

Q) I had a truck pull in front of me on the morning of Jan.1, 07. Started my year out great. it totaled my van. I had a '94 GMC Safari. It did have high milage, nearly 190,000 miles. BUT, it was a one owner vehicle that I had bought less than 10 months ago. It had been maintained it's entire life, and was still a very strong motor. Liberty Mutual is offering me almost $1,000 less than the cheapest same model that I can find. That also includes the Chevy Astro, which is just a name away from being the same.I would have accepted $500 less, MAYBE. But by the time I pay taxes and all that bull, I am getting really financially taken. Also what about any pain and suffering, I didn't see a doctor, but I felt pain, and I'm STILL suffering? I am not out to steal a $1000 from some poor conglomerate corp; But, how can I get what I deserve? What happens if we cannot agree on a price? will this go before a judge, or are the big guys covered there too??

A) Since your vehicle is over 10 years old, it has no 'official' value. What they will offer is the value of the vehicle at the time of loss, adjusted for condition. That means they will look at prices for similar vehicles for their base, and subtract for the high mileage. Insurance never gives replacement value. Of course you don't have to accept what they are offering, and you can counter offer if you want, which may or may not be fruitful. I do wish you luck with it.

French used car market?

Q) does anyone know if the French used car market compares favourably or unfavourably with the English market? are their prices on 7-15 year old cars generally more expensive , or cheaper, or the same? how is the cost of motoring in France generally with insurance and fuel costs, tax etc ? do you think it would be cheaper to be buy a left-hand drive car in UK?

A) Second hand cars in France are generally more expensive than in UK although 7-15 year old do level out. There are bargains now and again. Running costs are a little cheaper than UK. Insurance and fuel (esp. diesel) are about 10% cheaper and there is NO road tax. French bureaucracy can make changing registration docs entertaining!! A LHD normal car can be easy but a RHD Camper can be tough. Look on Ebay under LHD or left hand drive for cars already on french plates.

A) In the UK, this is one of the best sites I have found for lower priced cars. They have 15 pages of cars under 1,000 pounds.
